For holders of festival and day passes, please make sure to reserve to ensure you have a seat in the program block you wish to see.
FILM BLOCKS & SECTIONS
Film blocks at shnit are divided into five sections with a different each. One block (ca. 90 mins) includes about 6 short films. Generally, age rating is 16+.
LANGUAGE OF FILMS & SUBTITLES
The films of the International Competition are subtitled in Russian and English. For all other programs: if not spoken in English, the films are subtitled in English.

Festival exhibition zones will include food stands, as well as bars. See the shnit ENCOUNTERS fringe program of your Playground.
shnit venues provide disabled access wherever possible.
ATTENDING THE FESTIVAL
Q: How do I attend a shnit PLAYGROUND?
A: Select one of the PLAYGROUNDS or shnit CINEMA venues depending on what is in your country or closer to where you live. Under TICKETS | PROGRAM – PLAYGROUNDS you’ll find all the different PLAYGROUNDS and similarly under TICKETS | PROGRAM – shnit CINEMAS. Under VENUES | MAPS you can find the different cinemas and venues where shnit is taking place. Under TICKETS | FESTIVAL PASS you can find all the info on how to purchase tickets for said PLAYGROUND or shnit CINEMAS venue.
Q: How do I volunteer?
A: If you wish to support the festival as a volunteer, we are more than grateful. Contact the respective PLAYGROUND Manager to inquire about volunteering options.
Q: How do I place my vote for the shorts?
A: Once you’re in a movie theatre, the venue manager will explain how the voting system works. You will be able to or vote online for your favourite short film.
Q: How do I know what movies will be shown in a program block?
A: You can see the schedule of your PLAYGROUND under FILM | PROGRAM BROWSER of your PLAYGROUND. When you click on a program block, it will show you the description of the block, including all films.
