In her positions as festival strategist, programmer, educator and mentor, Kathleen McInnis has had the privilege of dedicating her professional career to the continuing education and empowerment of emerging filmmakers. McInnis is a Short Cuts Programmer at the Toronto Int’l Film Festival, as well as Founder/CEO of SEE-THROUGH FILMS, specializing in world cinema narrative, documentary and short films at festivals and markets worldwide, including Toronto, Sundance, Berlin and more. She teaches Festival Strategies at UCLA School of Film, Television and Theater and has held the positions of Festival Director at Palm Springs International Short Fest, Festival Director at Slamdance Film Festival  and Director of Publicity/Promotions at Seattle Int’l Film Festival where she was also a Lead Programmer. McInnis created the Cinerama Reel Film Festival for Financier/Producer Paul Allen in 2002.
