It's hard to be a bellydancer if you're an Arab man. Mayodi, from Morocco, has had his share of insults, all the way to Paris, where he now holds dance lessons. Bellydancing's future, he explains, is not in the Arab world due to how the mentalities there have been evolving. He is therefore bringing it to the West and is inviting more men to stand up and dance with him. In a time of war and tumult, returning to the basis of dancing has never been so important.
